Making A Bible Cover
I've been working on a new idea the past couple days, and I need your opinion/ideas. Leave a comment and tell me what you think, or what you would change. Yesterday, I got an idea to take some scrap jean material and make a quilted bible cover. I used a blue/green/purple tie-dyed material for the inside, making pockets for the bible to fit into. I also took a pocket from a pair of jeans to make a pocket to hold my ink pen and highlighter; could also hold a little notebook for taking notes. I thought about putting a zipper on it to enclose it, then thought maybe just a strap with a button would work as well. What do ya'll think?

ReplyDeleteI like the strap and button idea only because it looks more "girly". But if you wanted it to be more "manly" looking I'd say add a zipper.

LoL I hadn't thought of a zipper as being "manly"! I was just goin through my buttons to see what I had that would look cute.
ReplyDeleteWow! Good job Amber! I'm making a denim lap quilt and a hot pad. I like the pocket on the front! I think a zipper would be hard....I'd probably just put a button on and a hair elastic to fasten it with. ;o)

Neat idea! You can do neat stuff with old jeans. Some of my favorite hot pads are made out of old jeans. I have one with a pocket on the top that you can put your hand in just like you did on the Bible cover.
